Testing Performance
We know you’re curious about how this charger performs in the real world, and we’ve got you covered. In a real world test we found it pumped about 20miles (32K’s) into our Chevy Bolt every hour. But it could charge faster had the environment not been so hot.
The charger correctly reduced the amps from 32 to 20 in an effort to reduce heat. Our ambient temperature was about 30C which is 86F. The added heat from charging moved the unit up to 67C (150F) and that is dangerous. We were happy to see the Vevor overheat protocols kick in
