One month ago we noted that Chestermere had double the Alberta Provincial Average of active COVID19 cases. In recent days the signage at the end of town has jumped up twice and now reads CHESTERMERE HAS 150+ COVID CASES, so we decided to update our numbers and some of the changes are startling:

As you can see Chestermere has continued to lead in its very rate of COVID19 infections at increase not that different from the Calgary region and the Province of Alberta as a whole. It would be reasonable to think that a place like Chestermere, with all its advantages, would learn from its mistakes earlier than other jurisdictions and be in a better place… apparently not.
The only way to make Chestermere look reasonable is to consider the United States as the UK has done a great job of pulling back their active cases.

Chestermere people need to understand that they are not as special as they think they are.
