What Did Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Say At the G7 Summit That Got President Trump So Angry

After the G7 (or G6 + Trump) meeting in Quebec on June 9th 2018, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau became the latest target of the Trump White House’s venom:

“There’s a special place in Hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door,”  Peter Navaro on the Fox News Sunday

PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!

So what exactly did Trudeau say or do that made Trump so angry?  Prime Minister Trudeau said “Canadians are polite, we’re reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around… based on a National Security reason… it’s kind of insulting”.  This was referring to the President Trump bypassing the US Congress and unilaterally invoking 25% tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum under the claim that Canada’s steel and aluminum was a “national security risk to the United States”.  National Security is the only legal way for the White House to bring in taxes without congress’ approval.

As you can see in the video below, Prime Minister Trudeau made his statements in a public forum and in a very respectful manor:

It is important to note that this is something Trudeau has said repeatedly, publicly for weeks.
